Congratulations to the Baycrest staff, their family and friends who participated in the November 5, 2017 CN Tower stair climb! Together, Team Baycrest raised more than $3,000 to help people in our local community rise out of poverty. The Terraces of Baycrest were well represented by our Executive Director, Dr. Anna Ballon (fourth in from left side), and Program Directors, Merav Jacobson (right side) and David Mastrangelo (left side).
I needed to find a residence for my uncle where he would have access to good medical care and be treated respectfully by staff.
His experience at the Terraces was all of the above, and more! We both encountered an atmosphere of genuine respect for each resident, many opportunities for learning, and activities and programmes that encourage health and wellness. He took advantage of the many activities at the Terraces, and truly enjoyed and appreciated the friendships that were formed there.
As his power-of-attorney, I was most impressed with the coordination and commitment of the entire staff: social work, medical/health centre, pharmacy, food service, recreation, shuttle bus, housekeeping, maintenance, security and personal support. For the first time, I could relax, knowing that my uncle was in such a caring and positive environment.
The Terraces is more than a residence: it is a real community.
