Notes of Appreciation

We hardly can find the words with which to praise you and all your team at the Terrace for the miraculous manner in which you are coping with this indescribable plague!

The office staff, management staff, pharmacy, social work staff, and of course health personnel and kitchen staff (did we forget anyone? you are ALL wonderful!) cannot be given enough thanks for your always amiable and expert management  of the situation.  Can’t imagine how the staff provide us with meals, right to our door, but also always delicious, healthy and VARIED.  The housekeeping team is to be thanked for coming into our homes and making them sanitary and comfortable at this difficult time.  Indeed, you all deserve MEDALS OF HONOUR!

We feel confident that you will continue to do your wonderful jobs and bring us all to a happy end to this crisis.  Kudos to all and KEEP WELL.

Regarding the staff of The Terraces, I would like to tell you that they are doing a truly awesome job. I feel (and I speak only for myself) very privileged, even pampered by all the thought, hard work and care that I received on a daily basis. The “Embrace Your Home Base” is comforting and useful as well as. Enigma thoughtful. Meals, now plus teas and breakfast, are very good and I am touched that they go to the trouble of making the food look attractive, e.g. adding a sprig of parsley. Makes one feel like a guest!

I want to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to you, and your team and staff, for all your efforts during this unprecedented crisis. My mom has been raving about you ever since you arrived on the scene — and it’s easy to see why. Your actions are reasonable and appropriate, your communications have been clear and reassuring, and your concern for the residents’ total wellbeing is evident. You must all be exhausted. We see you, and we appreciate you. Keep up the good work, and again, thank you!

I wanted to reach out and say thank you. Every day I talk to my 93 year old Bubbie in the Terraces and she tells me “the staff are treating us like royalty” and she doesn’t feel isolated. She is loving the coffee/tea and cookie break in the afternoons.

From the bottom of my heart, please send a thanks to each and every one of your staff that are making my Bubbie’s stay so enjoyable.

Thank you so much for providing the video opportunity for my mom today. She was so emotional, as I was, because we have not seen each other in 4 months. Although I have returned to Toronto and had planned to visit my mom, it has not possible for obvious reasons.

Thank you to the caring, kind special people who have made this possible.

Everyone is working so very hard in the Food and Dining Services at the Terraces of Baycrest. As a President of the Residents’ Council I would like to let you know that I, the residents and the Members of the Residents Council at the Terraces, want to express their appreciation to your whole, wonderful team for providing us with such a very tasty and great dining experience, whether it is in the dining room or now in these trying, difficult times in our apartments. The meals are delivered to our apartments on time and with a pleasant smile. All of you need to be commended for your hard work. CONGRATULATIONS! Each one of you plays an important part working hard to make us happy.

I also would like to thank you for providing me with the food that requires special preparation.

I just had to let you know how many of the residents are raving about food services. They are commenting on the server’s pleasant attitudes. They are commenting on the amount of food (now breakfast and afternoon tea). Many are looking forward to the deliveries as a “life line”. Many have identified YOU as a wonderful person.

Please pass on to your staff that they are very much appreciated.

I realize that the whole mankind is presently facing difficult times because of COVID-19, and all of us are doing their best trying to survive and make the best within this situation, but with the amazing care and help provided by you and the entire staff, here at the Terraces we feel safe and well cared for. The daily, weekly updates help us, the residents, to keep up to date with what is happening in our home, our community. The food service is fantastic. It runs so smoothly. The meals are delicious, delivered on time. Congratulations to to the whole staff of the Food and Dining Service on behalf of the Residents’ Council. I am also aware that the entire staff is working daily on our behalf. And all of us appreciate what they do for us.

I would like to thank you for the constant updates and huge effort you and the staff are making to keep the Terraces healthy and happy. My mom is being treated very kindly and always says how wonderful and kind you and all the helpers are. We appreciate this here, so far from her, and she and I are in constant contact on her FaceTime.

I want to express my appreciation to you and the Terraces staff for your consistent quality of care to the residents. It is a very difficult job in very difficult times. Thank you, on behalf of residents and families.
