The services we provide are designed to enhance all areas of your life.
Our exceptional culinary team works hard to create an enjoyable dining experience, serving nutritious and delicious kosher food (COR).
Lunch and dinner are served daily in our main floor dining room where residents catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Daily menus are created to appeal to a variety of palates. Included as a regular menu option are recipes from the Terraces of Baycrest resident-created cookbook, A Ta’am to Remember. Celebrity Chefs occasionally visit our dining room and help us create an extra-special meal.
Family and friends may join us in the main dining room or use our private dining room.
Café / Convenience Store
Our on-site kosher café (COR) offers delicious breakfast and lunch options. The convenience store sells prepared foods, household goods and supplies.
Unisex Beauty Salon
Services include haircuts, blow dries, mini-manicures and waxing. Hours of operation are during the week and posted on the door.
Baycrest Shuttle Bus offers complimentary bus service around the Baycrest campus and is available throughout the day. TTC Community Bus Service provides residents with the opportunity to visit three local shopping centres. The bus has a ramp and is accessible to people with walkers, wheelchairs and scooters. There is also a regular TTC bus stop in front of the building.
Philips Lifeline ®
An emergency response system is available for each resident in their apartment through a “help button” worn as a pendant or wristband. When the button is activated in the apartment, a nurse from our on-site health centre will immediately follow up with the resident to deliver care and support. This button is waterproof and can be worn while bathing.
Home Care Services
The Terraces have partnered with Saint Elizabeth, the preferred on-site provider of home care services. Residents may purchase support services provided by Saint Elizabeth Personal Support Workers (PSW). Examples of services include:
- Personal Laundry
- Breakfast preparation
Services may be purchased hourly or by 15-minute increments throughout the day and/or night as staff are in the building 24/7.
Residents also have the option of purchasing services from external providers.
